Diversity Roundtable Partners with Tippecanoe County Library

Through a ALAGrant, two great partners are sharing the funds to build a more inclusive community with the following upcoming fall events:

Can We Talk? Introducing Conversation Circles Saturday, September 15 2012, 10:00am - 12:00pm

Dr. Mary Trujillo, North Park University Faculty, will introduce Community Conversation Circles.  A Building Common Ground initiative, community conversation circles will form in the greater Lafayette Community in the Fall 2012.  Learn more about this exciting community participation model designed to build civility, compassion, and inclusion.

Cultivating a Compassionate Community: Introducing Twelve Steps to a Compassionate Life.  Sunday, October 14 2012, 2:00pm - 3:30pm

Join County Librarian Jos Holman as he introduces community reading of Twelve Steps to a Compassionate Life.  The audience will see a video presentation, by the author and TED award winner, Karen Armstrong.

Discussion.  Refreshments, Copies of 12 Steps to a Compassionate Life available.
